God is Love Orphanage in Guinea Conakry is dedicated to providing the orphaned, poor, and deplorable kids living in abject poverty. We`ve been helping destitute children finding hope with an orphanage home and care, free education in a humanitarian school that is helping two large communities among poor families that hardly eat a meal for the day. The commencement of this humanitarian work all began during the civil wars in Sierra Leone and Liberia where rebels barbarically destroyed lives and property, and also left many maimed with amputated arms and legs, causing many children to become orphans, displaced, abandon and refugees in the nearest country (Guinea).
Children who were fortunate to flee to Guinea or escaped with the Red Cross Society did not solve all their depravities. Some were left homeless walking the streets of Guinea and hanging around restaurants for left-over food to feed themselves. Single parents, especially widows, were jobless, poor and deprived. They could not continue to educate their kids in Guinea because of the official language being French. It was on this terrible condition against humanity that God is love Mission helped to save, feed, and educate many children with free education and offer medical facilities for free.
With the continuity of this good work towards the poor side of humanity, Guinean orphans were brought into the orphanage and a humanitarian school that is presently helping hundreds of destitute children from Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, and Ghana. A tremendous difference has been made to help children have a better and brighter future since 2002. According to UNICEF statistics for Guinea that there are more than 70, 000 children that are not schooled, and remote rural areas lack teachers also. Guinea`s children often find themselves lacking protection or support, and are exposed to violence, abuse and exploitation, including prostitution.
